Newton worked as an IBC venue Site Architect seconded to the National Committee in Azerbaijan (host country).
During the first stage, Newton provided consultancy on Overlay Architecture, Construction Drawings, and FF&E with regular on-site visits to ensure design compliance by the contractor.
Throughout the second phase, Newton worked as Site Manager, during the Games period, overseeing the maintenance of the existing building and all temporary facilities.
