Newton Costa

The LA28 Games Planning & Delivery group aims to deliver the most seamless, innovative, and engaging Games experience ever for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community. 

Newton currently leads the Design team for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games. His position primarily encompasses liaising between the OCOG (Olympic Committee Organizing Games) and the design demands, ensuring compliance with the games’ operational requirements for overlay.

This role required constant acquaintance with innovative/creative solutions and value engineering practices to not only reduce the overall event cost, but also identify risks early in the process, and unveil efficiencies in the event delivery model that can mitigate environmental impact and benefit the community.
